Auto Event

AutoPicture / AutoVideo Events

Auto Picture and Auto Video are two different events but are based on the same concept. If one of these is placed inside a Playlist, it will automatically be filled with picture or video files from a special ftp-folder and played in a loop.

First you have to put one of these events into a Zone of a Playlist. Select a zone, double click on it, and drag and drop the proper event. Then click on the properties button and you will see following dialogs according to the type.
Auto Picture:

Auto Video:

Here you can adjust the properties on how and which content you want to be shown.
With Mask you can filter which files should be shown. Format is like *.news.[DATE].{DURATION}.mpg.
Supported tags: DATE, DURATION, *
[] - mandatory, {} -not mandatory
DURATION should be specified in the format [0-9]*s
DATE is in the format (START_DATE format: DDMMYYYY)_(END_DATE format: DDMMYYYY)

After you have finished configuring the Event press Save.

Next step is to upload new content with an Auto Picture or Auto Video Upload ftp-user. To create such user go to the FTP Section and select Add. Choose a username and password and select Auto Picture or Auto Video Upload as Server folder, according to the content type you want.

Now you can upload media files of that type with the new created ftp-user.

If the Playlist is now set to play and some files match the mask they will be played out.
